If so, then we invite you to nominate your school for the 2014 Accord Inclusivity Award.
The annual Award - now in its fourth year - rewards those schools that do most within their own particular circumstances to promote mutual understanding; build links within and between communities, and to celebrate and advance an ethos of inclusion (with particular regard for inclusivity on the grounds of religion and belief). The Award is open to all schools in England and Wales, and the winners will be announced in the local and national press.
Previous judges have included the former Secretary of State for Education, Lord Baker; Shadow Minister for Children, Lisa Nandy MP; Bishop of Buckingham, The Rt Revd Dr Alan Wilson, and journalist Polly Toynbee. The 2014 Award will be judged by another respected and experienced panel of experts from political, professional and religious backgrounds.
Previous winning schools have included primary, secondary, rural, inner city, faith and special schools. For more details, including information on the previous winners and for an application pack, please visit the Accord Coalition website at http://accordcoalition.org.uk/inclusivity-award-2014/. The deadline for entries is Sunday December 8th 2013 and prizes will be awarded in the New Year.
