Fathers Story Week 2013

Sign up now for Fathers’ Story Week!

Fathers' Story Week is a nationwide celebration of the power of dads reading with their children. It takes place in the week leading up to Father's Day, 10-16 June 2013.

Children whose dads read regularly with them, do better at school - and Fathers' Story Week helps you make really clear that dads count. So why not join thousands of other schools, nurseries, children's centres, libraries, prisons and other settings across the country and register NOW for your free FSW pack on the Fathers' Story Week website

FSW is endorsed by a host of celebrity supporters, from TV presenter Jeremy Kyle and Olympian cyclist Chris Boardman, to well-loved children's authors including Julia Donaldson and Michael Rosen; and by key expert organisations including the Family and Parenting Institute, 4 Children, PTA-UK and the National Literacy Trust.

We've got loads of FREE Fathers' Story Week resources to get you working creatively with children and their fathers and father-figures ... and great stuff for dads to download too.

Time for FRED!
FRED (Fathers Reading Every Day), our new supported reading programme, makes reading together an everyday expectation for dads and children. FRED in the US has been shown to improve children's reading accuracy, comprehension and rate of reading; their writing; and their behaviour. It can also improve attainment in maths.
