2011

Educational visits for
primary and junior
schools.

The Isle of Wight is the ideal venue for your 2011 residential visit

Dear School Journey Organiser

The Isle of Wight, which has more places of educational interest per square mile than anywhere else in Britain, is a rich resource - of massive benefit to children - helping to meet a host of national curriculum requirements.

One of the major advantages of being such a relatively small island is the short journey times between the numerous educational sites, attractions and activities - thus allowing more time 'on the ground' and less time sitting on the coach. All things considered, it’s no wonder that more and more schools are choosing the Isle of Wight for their annual residential visit.

GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK - LEAVE IT TO THE EXPERTS
ACTIVITY ISLAND LTD

We are the Isle of Wight School Journey Specialists

Activity Island Ltd has been organising all-inclusive residential educational visits [exclusively to the Isle of Wight], for the past 28 years. We firmly believe that we deserve our reputation as ‘the best’.

A very large proportion of our clients are schools who visit the island with us every year.  We will be pleased to give you the names and contact details of these schools, who are more than happy to recommend us.

With the ongoing uncertainty regarding the date of the 2011 KS2 SATs, an increasing number of schools are choosing to visit the island during the months of September and October.  This gives them a great opportunity to get to know their pupils at the start of the school year.  Another benefit of travelling at this time of year is that the weather on the island is generally very pleasant, warm and settled.

Some schools are choosing to visit during the month of April.  The vast majority of the various places of interest are open from 1st April onwards, but the island remains relatively quiet, and the roads are generally free of heavy traffic during the month.

Please send for our free colour brochure, which gives a comprehensive list of the places of interest and activities available on the Island [and also those on the mainland, which you can experience prior to, or after, your visit].   It also gives details of exactly what we offer and the excellent level of service our clients can rely upon.
