This fascinating one day conference will provide you with invaluable information and advice on how to keep bees in a busy school environment. Covering the benefits and the challenges of school beekeeping, subjects covered will include:

  • Key speech by Rosie Boycott ( Journalist, author and Chair of the London Food Board)
  • Engaging stakeholders
  • Costs and practicalities of getting started
  • Involving pupils and the community
  • Cross curriculum links including science, enterprise, D&T, behaviour/PSHE
  • Health and Safety (including risk assessment)
  • Pupil’s perspective
  • How your local bee club can help
  • Optional: practical demonstration of a bee hive inspection (suits will be provided, places limited)

Cost: £50 per person including refreshments and lunch.
