Dear Head of Drama

I'm the writer and director of Charlie Bangers, a new stage play which premieres at the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays in September this year, and then goes on to a national tour during 2012.  I’ve cast Sandra Dickinson and Adam Paul Harvey for two of the lead roles and have significant interest from Christopher Eccleston for the third.  

I’m currently visiting schools and colleges in the UK sharing this unique inside experience with children and students, encouraging them to think creatively and to write themselves. I challenge groups to create and write their own play and then perform the first scene in just two hours. The sessions are tremendously successful and leave the children and students buzzing. The workshops can assist schools and colleges to deliver national and school curriculums and to meet National Strategy learning objectives.

In addition, as I own the production company, I can offer privileged access initiatives to compliment the programme at no extra cost. These include theatre visits and backstage tours, meet-the-actor sessions, watching rehearsals and hands-on experience with various aspects of production such as technical, set and costume design, stage management and front of house. I can also offer work experience placements.
