National Half Energy Day 24 March 2010

Dear Headteacher,

Joining our National Half Energy Day (HED) is an easy and simple way to encourage your pupils to take more responsibility for their use of energy and natural resources in order to help safeguard the future.

Using our Power Point presentation in your assembly will allow you to explain why and how to ‘Use your HED to make a difference!’

Pupils are asked, for example, to halve the number of electricity units used on Half Energy Day, share lifts and avoid non-recyclable waste.

Encouraging your pupils to enter our poster competition will advertise the idea and give them a chance to win an iPod nano!

Join schools nationwide in helping our young people to develop good ecological habits to avoid every day becoming a Half Energy Day!
