The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and its strategic implications for schools
Invitation to a one day conference for senior school leaders on the IB programmes of study and their impact on creative and transformational learning, and raising student achievement.

Nigel Ashton - Headteacher, Leverhulme Primary School, Bolton (website) will present on the strategic implications and how the PYP was implemented.

Keynote speakers will be Gareth Mills, former Head of Curriculum at QCA, and advisor to Futurelab on technology and innovation, and Dr Anthony Seldon, Chief Master at Wellington College.
The day will be led by school practitioners, who will explain both how and why they introduced IB programmes and the impact this has had.
- The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students in Years 1-6
- The Middle Years Programme (MYP): a curriculum framework for key stages 3 and 4
- The Diploma Programme (DP): the post-16, pre-university qualifications
- The new IB Career Related Certificate (IBCC): a post-16 vocational framework qualification
An overview will be given of the IB continuum of education followed by a series of workshops which will allow participants to build a better understanding of the programmes relevant to their interest.
The afternoon keynote speaker will be Jeremy Lewis, Head of School at ACS Egham International School, who will talk about developing the IB in your school.
