Dear Headteacher and History Coordinator
These are the shows we are touring this year -
The show which has a lot of humour and audience participation has a marvellous performance by John Field who not only looks like Henry VIII but also has an enormous knowledge of the period.
The Henry VIII Show has been one of our most popular shows. It has returned to The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guilford for 7 sell out years now, and has also been a regular visitor to The Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn as well as National Trust and Heritage Properties as well as dozens of schools who rebook the show year after year as part of their curriculum.
The rest of the court are performed by beautifully costumed table top puppets.
After the show there is a question and answer session for as long as the timetable allows and a photograph of Henry with each class.
”Henry VIII goes down a storm every time. The children are transfixed by his performance, in turns comic and tragic. A great opportunity for the pupils to consolidate their learning through a fun, interactive and informative show. First date to be put in the school diary every year.” Anthony Moore, Auriol School
“I came to see your show in Cambridge last Wednesday with my son (aged 10). I just wanted to let you know that I thought it was superb, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. You brought Henry to life, and covered the material in such an interesting and imaginative way.” Cambridge Festival
“Perfect for classes studying the Tudors - funny and absolutely spot on for the age range - this show ticks all the right boxes” Liz Hills, Headteacher Ilderton School London
“All 150 of our Year 5 children took so much from this performance, it was presented in such a way that all were captivated for the entire event. Educational, humorous, appropriately pitched and very enjoyable. We will be re-booking this show for every year that we teach the Tudor topic. This show is highly recommended, you will not be disappointed in any way!” Jeremy Meek, Cleves School
“It’s the best educational show we have had in our school, ever”
Salmestone Primary school, Kent
“Its astonishing how much information you give out in the show and yet still keep it entertaining.” Brian Kirk at The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

Our New Show is: Merlin and the Frost Dragon
An exciting tale of one of the many quests of Merlin. The show has great storytelling, puppets, magic, audience participation and a wonderful specially composed music sound track.
So far it has played The Great Hall Winchester, The Tricycle Theatre, The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and several schools in the South East
'Merlin, the beautiful puppets, the stage set, the soundtrack & the snow effects - the whole production was quite enchanting. Magical, the audience were held spell-bound!' - The Great Hall Winchester
