The Primary History & Art Event 2016

Featuring unique resources from Quentin Devine

Quentin was commissioned by The Royal Mint to create a unique portrait, to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen becoming the longest reigning monarch. He has created a giant Mona Lisa Mosaic using self portraits to hang in London's National Gallery. The final mosaic was 85 times larger than the original! He has also interpreted some iconic historical portraits and brought them up to date. We will explore how his brilliant artwork can be used to stimulate children's thinking.

Recent consultancy testimonials:
'Fiona is dynamic and inspires staff with her enthusiastic style and sense of humour. She has worked with staff to redesign both the KS1 and KS2 curriculum units, making effective links and creating ideas that teachers like to teach and children like to learn. The staff looked forward to her coming in to work with them.'

'We have evaluated the roles and responsibilities of the Subject Leaders, which lead to Fiona interviewing Coordinators. This resulted in some changes in role, and has had a direct effect on the enthusiasm and renewed vigour in curriculum areas. The MLT were trained to monitor and evaluate the Subject Leaders, and report to the SLT which has meant that staff are more tightly aligned to our school development plan.'
