Dear Head Teacher

Camo Day is a nationwide non uniform day in aid of armed forces charity, SSAFA Forces Help.

We are asking every school in the UK to show they care about our soldiers, sailors, airmen and their families on 29th June 2012, which is the day before Armed Forces Day.

In return for a small donation, children can dress up like our troops, camo paint their faces or wear green, navy or airforce blue clothes and accessories. It’s easy to do, and lots of fun.

The money raised will mean SSAFA Forces Help can continue to support 50,000 soldiers, sailors, airmen and their families every year, including veterans.

Last year, Filey School in North Yorkshire held the first ever Camo Day. They raised over £1000 and had a great time too.

For more information, including a resource pack and to register your interest, please visit All children joining in Camo Day will receive a special wristband to say thank you.

Thanks in advance, from everyone at SSAFA Forces Help.

"Camo Day is great as it’s a fun way
to support our troops and their families.
The children really enjoyed themselves
and had a great sense that they were
helping other people."
