Dear Head Teacher

You will have received a letter from Andy Grant on behalf of SSAFA Forces Help inviting your school to participate in Camo Day to raise funds for the valuable work we do.

The email was sent to around 24,000 schools in every part of the United Kingdom and we are already getting a warm response from a number of schools.

However, it has also been brought to our attention that participation by schools in some areas could be inappropriate or insensitive and we fully understand that some of you will not want to take part. If you are one of those, we would sincerely apologise for our genuine error in circulating the information to you.  We certainly did not intend or wish to cause any offence.

To those who wish to take part, we would like to emphasise that the 29th June is the preferred date, but you can pick another if you wish.  For example, I know that in Scotland, it is the last day of the summer term for many schools, which might or might not fit in with the fun we believe can be had from Camo Day.

Yours sincerely
