It's not too late to register for Drumathon: Raise money for Sense and for your school!

Sense’s noisy fundraiser means not only will you help us continue our vital work, but you could raise a great sum for those ‘would be nice,’ pieces of equipment that budgets just can’t stretch to.

The fundraising side is simple with each pupil taking part offering a suggested donation and the option of your school taking 20% of the funds raised for your own projects.

For example, raise £400 in total and £80 of that could buy a sandpit for your Early Years children or eight sets of lightweight bongos to keep the beat going in your school!

So join us…

Last year over 200 primary schools took part in our event and helped raise vital funds and awareness for deafblind children and adults across the UK. With your support this year we will see more pupils and teachers getting creative in their schools and drumming up support for Sense in their local community.

What is Drumathon?

It’s simple – create a drum, chose a beat; make a difference! We hope that children everywhere will make a real effort in creating imaginative drumming equipment from everyday household objects in the build up to their Drumathon and join us on Friday 22nd June 2012 when schools and community groups everywhere will stop and think for just ten minutes about the value of sight and sound.

Here’s what one of our schools had to say about last year’s Drumathon…

‘We had a great time here at Ashfield Valley Primary School - We all got together on the school field at 12pm and made as much noise as we could. We then marched around the field and banged our drums! It was great fun and we raised money for the charity.’
