Dear Headteacher

Apologies if you are receiving this email and you have already registered for the World’s biggest sponsored Walk for Wildlife.  If you haven’t yet registered, don’t worry, you’re not too late, but you do need to act quickly!

We hope you will join hundreds of other schools in a truly unique event.  On Friday May 19th, hundreds of thousands of primary school children all over the country will be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record™ for the biggest sponsored walk ever held, and I would personally like to invite you and your pupils to ‘put on your walking shoes and get involved’.

  • You choose where to walk and more importantly where the money goes
  • Walk around your school grounds, your local park, or further afield
  • There is no set distance or pace – You can walk for just 30 mins or 3 hrs
  • Raise money for any wildlife or conservation charity, big or small
  • Support your local wildlife rescue centre or animal hospital
  • Help protect some of the world’s most endangered species
  • Involve parents & grandparents and let’s make May 19th Wildlife Day

A few words from some of our celebrity supporters . . . .

“I am delighted to support Walk 4 Wildlife and I hope that as well as raising money for your favourite animal charity, the event helps to highlight some of the issues facing many of our planet’s most vulnerable species”
Chris Packham – BBC TV Presenter, Naturalist & Wildlife Advocate

“I wholeheartedly support this initiative.  It is a great opportunity for kids all around Britain to step up to nature”
Simon King OBE - TV Presenter & BAFTA award winning Wildlife Cameraman

“Walk 4 Wildlife is such a simple idea. Get people walking together in the great outdoors, raising money for their favourite wildlife charity at the same time. I hope everyone gets involved and makes this a huge success”
Iolo Williams – Wildlife TV Presenter, Conservationist & Naturalist
