Dear Head of Careers / Head of PE,
I am writing from Winter Sports Company with information for school and college leavers who may be interested in a gap year or a career in the winter/adventure sports industry. We offer a range of courses and internships that develop student's skills and confidence as part of their gap year.
Gap Year Options
Instructor Courses – Ski and snowboard instructor courses are a great alternative gap year option. Gaining a certificate as a ski or snowboard instructor during a year out not only looks amazing on a student’s CV, but also allows them to work in ski resorts across the world once qualified.
Instructor Internships – Winter Sports Company ski & snowboard instructor internships allow students to train as a level 1 instructor and then get paid to work as an instructor for the season. Internships are available in Canada and New Zealand, visit our website for information on how to apply.
Ski Patrol Courses – Ski patrol is the mountain emergency service and on this course students will learn all about mountain safety, rescue, incident prevention and much, much more.
Previous Winter Sports Company students have spent the remainder of their gap year instructing in resorts around the world including Australia, New Zealand and the snow dome in Dubai.
Detailed information about our courses can be found at
Best Wishes and Kind Regards,
